Triebold
Paleontology, Inc.
offers the most exciting new dinosaur cast to
come along in years! Our complete skull and
skeleton casts are based on 1994 discoveries of
the first associated post-cranial material along
with the second skull ever found. Highlights of
the skull include the
first jaw ever found, which has small spikes on
the postero-lateral edge!
Large spikes at the rear of the skull suggest a
close relationship with Stygimoloch, plus new
material from the snout area is preserved,
changing the shape of the restored premaxilla.
Preserved post-cranial material dictates a
horizontal alignment of the dorsal vertebrae
with a strong U-curve to the cervicals. It is
approximately
9 feet long x 4 feet
high (2.7 meters x 1.2 meters). This specimen and the site
is being studied by an international
interdisciplinary geological-paleontological
team.

This discovery has
added much to our knowledge of these strange
creatures. The strong "U" curve of the rather
dainty cervical vertebrae suggest that
head-butting may not have been possible. The
unique spikes ringing the rear of the skull were
probably used for display and ritual
flank-butting. The ribs are identifiable by the
corrugations running lengthwise along the dorsal
margins. grooved zygapophyses are another unique
feature.
