![]() View of the second 17 foot Xiphactinus built for Savage Ancient Seas® |
|
![]() This is the prototype skeleton of our new, giant Xiphactinus taken at the North American Museum of Ancient Life in Lehi, Utah. The photo was taken immediately after installation, with NAMAL staff members Rick and Tyler in the foreground for scale.
This view shows the Pachyrhizodus specimens it is chasing, with our Elasmosaur overhead at the top of the photo. Keep in mind, each Pachyrhizodus skeleton is 6 feet long! Incidentally, Pachyrhizodus remains have been found as stomach contents of Xiphactinus.
For more details on the three-dimensionalization of these skeletons, refer to our page on our 12.5 foot version of these great fish. Photograph record of the entire excavation!
