Cast
A fabulous display piece from this specimen. Post-mortem scavenging by sharks left a permanent record of their activity on a portion of the tail , which has been cast in situ prior to full preparation in 3D. At top, the shark successfully took out a chunk of flesh along with the top of some of the neural arches. Another shark took a bite from the bottom, thrashed around and gave up. Both bites reveal the size of shark, as the radius of the mouth is clear in each case.
