3D Scanning

TPI is proud to offer top-of-the-line 3D scanning services. We utilize high definition structured light scanners to create high-detail files with superior accuracy, which ensures the print that results is of top-tier quality. We are constantly improving our scanning capabilities and knowledge base to best serve our customers; we upgrade printers as often as we can, we educate ourselves on the latest software, and we take the time that is required to create a beautiful scan.

3D Printing

Here at TPI’s home base, we have more than 20 3D printers, both FDM and SLA, running at almost all times. Using the scans we create, we are able to print out scale models of every file, sizing up or down for whatever is required. We utilize several sizes of printers, as well as a variety of resins, to ensure each specimen is printed with the utmost accuracy. Once the print is completed, you have the option of having us also prepare the print for display through use of paints and dedicated metalwork.

Off-site Services

If you have a specimen that cannot be moved, or that you would like to keep stationary, we can bring our scanning services directly to you. With our off-site scanning services you are able to preserve the safety and integrity of your fossils while still receiving high-quality 3D scans (and in-turn, prints) with which you are free to do what you want.
