One of the strangest crocodilian relatives ever discovered, Effigia was a toothless bipedal animal that strongly resembled later dinosaurs. It was first discovered in 1947 at Ghost Ranch Quarry, however it’s true identity wasn’t revealed until the specimen was prepared decades later. This reconstruction Is based off of scanning, digital reconstruction and printing of the holotype specimen to ensure the most accurate casts possible.
